# Pablo Miceli | Senior Full-Stack Engineer [Overview](https://pablomiceli.dev/) Current location: Cape Town, South Africa **Building modern and scalable user experiences.** 👋 I’m Pablo, Argentine based in Cape Town. I started building Java game plugins as a teenager, and my interest in UX, AI and efficient architectures continues to shape how I build software. With **15+ years in software development** my work spans financial solutions, travel products, energy platforms and AI-powered applications, from prototyping through continuous production releases. I have led frontend and full-stack development, shaped application architectures, mentored developers while working closely with CTO or product teams. My preferred frontend stack is **Vue / Nuxt, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS**, supported by full-stack experience with **Orpc APIs, Drizzle and PostgreSQL databases**. Recent work also includes React, Express, Hono, NestJS, AWS, Cloudflare and AI integrations. I care about clear interfaces, maintainable systems and the details that make a product feel good to use. ## Recent experiences ### [Senior Full-Stack Developer - Switch Energy](https://www.switch.org.za) **Oct 2025 - Present** Contributed to building and shipping an energy trading application and maintaining production meter data management (MDMS) dashboards. - Prototyped and developed energy trading features, including diagnostic metrics and energy allocation forecasting - Maintained MDMS dashboards across the full stack - Worked directly with new clients to provide technical support and gather product feedback **Stack:** React, Material UI, TypeScript, Recharts, NestJS, MongoDB, Turborepo and AWS ### [Senior Full-Stack Developer - Defijn](https://defijn.io/) **Sep 2024 - Aug 2025** Worked across multiple client projects in a fully remote agency, collaborating with teammates on implementation and code quality. - Built interfaces with React, Tailwind CSS, TanStack, shadcn/ui and d3.js. - Worked with Firebase, Docker, Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects, and AI integrations using Llama, Gemini and Stable Diffusion inpainting models. ### [Senior Frontend Lead - TROOP](https://trooptravel.com/) **Dec 2021 - Feb 2024** Led frontend development and application architecture for a fully remote travel startup. - Built the application with Vue 3 Composition API, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL and Mapbox in a pnpm monorepo. - Mentored developers and established code principles and conventions. - Collaborated with product and design teams on user experience and implementation. **Stack:** Vue 3, TypeScript, GraphQL, Mapbox, Tailwind CSS, Vite. ### [Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Airbank](https://techcrunch.com/2021/06/22/airbank-centralizes-all-your-business-bank-accounts-and-financial-data/) **Feb 2021 - Aug 2021** Led full-stack development and architecture for a fully remote German finance startup. - Architected a modular Apollo Server backend with TypeScript and Open Banking API integrations. - Worked on a migration from FaunaDB to PostgreSQL with Prisma. - Built the frontend with Vue 3, Apollo Client, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. **Stack:** Vue 3, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Vite. ### [Full-Stack Lead Developer - Matera Fintech](https://matera.com/) **2020** Led full-stack development of an institutional website for a fintech company in a remote project. - Connected headless Drupal and a GraphQL API to a statically generated Nuxt frontend. - Implemented internationalization with i18n and styling with Tailwind CSS. - Built an open-source [Nuxt image extraction module](https://github.com/d1urno/nuxt-image-extractor) for the static-generation workflow. ### [Project Lead Developer - Paraná Banco](https://paranabanco.com.br/) **2019** Led the bank’s institutional website project, working remotely with a brief onsite period in Curitiba, Brazil. - Focused on headless Drupal, GraphQL endpoints and CI/CD alongside the bank’s development team. - Coordinated with the frontend team using React and Apollo Client, with limited direct frontend contributions. ### [Senior Lead Developer - CTRL.365](https://www.linkedin.com/company/ctrl-365) **Jan 2019 - Feb 2020** Worked onsite at an agency in São Paulo, Brazil, delivering web projects alongside the design team. - Built responsive landing pages for brands including Acer, Consul and Nestlé. - Developed an intranet with authentication and push notifications, plus APIs and database administration panels. - Interviewed candidates and contributed to team management. ## Contact and profile - [Email me](mailto:d1urno@gmx.com) - [GitHub](https://github.com/d1urno) - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pmicel/) - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/d1urno) - [Download CV as PDF]()
